Hyundai has announced the development of new technologies that improve vehicle air quality for a more enjoyable and refreshing indoor environment for passengers.

Hyundai has unveiled three new air-conditioning technologies: After-Blow, Multi-Air Mode and Fine Dust Indicator, introduced by the company in response to growing concerns about air quality. Initially, select models and models will be equipped with these new technologies in Korea, and the technologies will expand and extend in the future to future Hyundai cars all over the world.

After-Blow technology

After-Blow technology dries out the condensate in the evaporator to discourage the growth of mold in the vehicle's air-conditioning system, whose growth causes an unpleasant odor during hot weather.

After the engine is turned off and the condenser in the evaporator is naturally drained for about 30 minutes, the "After-Blow" feature works for about 10 minutes to dry the evaporator and any residual condensation in the air path. The air conditioning system automatically allows outside air to flow during this period to prevent moisture build-up.

This technology uses an intelligent battery sensor (IBS) to monitor the battery and stop working when the battery is low, which saves the battery and eliminates any concerns about its discharging or weakening, and it also stops if the air conditioning system is not used for a period, or when the outside temperature is low. .

Multi-Air Mode technology

This advanced technology uses the vehicle's multiple ventilation and heating vents to create a more pleasant and comfortable indoor environment while creating a pleasant, fresh airflow. When this feature is activated, the air is distributed in the newly added manifolds in the driver and passenger seats in addition to the regular vents, and although the total volume of the airflow remains the same, it is distributed in a way that reduces the occupants' exposure to direct air flow.

This feature is turned on or off depending on the driver's desire.

Fine Dust Indicator technology

This technology works as a real-time digital indicator of the presence of dust, that is, it reflects the amount of dust inside the car in real time, allowing the driver to better manage and control the air quality.

The indicator displays the level of air pollution with ultrafine dust particles (PM 2.5) inside the car using different numbers and colors to make it easier for the car driver to know the degree of air purity: the blue color indicates particles with an amount ranging from 0 to 15 micrograms / m3, and green indicates particles with a range of 16 Is 35 μg / m3, orange is 36 to 75 μg / m3, and red is 76 μg / m3 or higher.

And the air cleaning mode is activated to purify the air in the car if the level of nanoparticles exceeds 36 g / m3 when this feature is activated.

And the air cleaning system - automatically - adjusts the air volume between 3 and 8, switches to recirculation mode and activates the air conditioning system to reduce indoor humidity, and in the event that the air quality does not improve, this is a reminder to the driver to replace the air conditioner filters or to clean the seats and carpets.
