Elite UK's most highly-qualified craftsmen and engineers have finalized their DP5 Goldfinger, the new version of Aston Martin's iconic sports car series for its customers within the New Cars program. The first cars of this model left the production line last week.In addition to the other impressive success it represents for the company in the field of design and engineering, this model is the first new DB5 launched by Aston Martin more than half a century ago, and history has once again dominated it thanks to the new cars program launched by the British manufacturer of luxury cars.
As the world's most preferred and popular car, the Aston Martin DB5 has become synonymous with enduring elegance and sporty performance. The brand produced fewer than 900 of them between 1963 and 1965, and one of its most famous owners was James Bond, the famous undercover agent, as the car was associated with his first film, Goldfinger, which was produced in 1964.
More than 55 years after the launch of the new DB5 from Aston Martin laboratories, it is now colonized there to produce a new version of the Limited Edition DB5.
In cooperation with EON Productions, the company that produces James Bond films, the new version of the car is being produced to include a wide range of equipment used in the film, to make the DB5 Goldfinger one of the most distinguished cars over the years.
In addition to its great importance as a new version of the DB5, these cars will be provided with a wide range of special equipment that has only been seen in cars used to photograph or promote James Bond films.
The equipment inspired by the Secret Agent's World Bond includes both of the following:
Exterior design:
- A system to generate a smoke cloud behind the car
- System that simulates a lubricating oil device
- Rotating number plate on the front and rear of the vehicle (3 panels included)
- Two unreal machine guns at the front of the car
- Bulletproof back glass
- Two controls on the front and rear of the vehicle
- Unreal tire shredder
- Removable roof panel over the passenger seat (optional feature)
- Interior Design:
- Radar screen and unreal track map
- A phone at the driver's door
- Release button on the gear shift knob
- A set of buttons on the armrest and the center panel
- Hidden cabinet under seats for weapons or luggage
- Control device to operate the equipment
Each of the 25 new cars bears the smallest details of the DB5 that appeared in the film with some minor adjustments and improvements that ensure the highest levels of quality and reliability. All of the DB5 Goldfinger cars are built in a single color, Silver Silver Birch, to match the original car.
The car also bears the aluminum exterior panels of the original DB5, which wraps around the steel body. The car is characterized by its 4-liter engine, which is equipped with six cylinders and has natural ventilation, and the head holds six sockets, three SU carburetors and an oil cooler, and is capable of generating a capacity of 290 hp.
It is worth noting that the first deliveries of the new GP5 Goldfinger to customers were launched, and will continue during the second half of 2020.
